Every year, the day of the world’s lung cancer is observed on August 01 to increase awareness about the causes and treatment of lung cancer and highlight the problem of lack of adequate research funds for the disease. Lung cancer is one of the main causes of cancer death between men and women.
Lung Cancer Day -World Lung: History
This campaign was first held in 2012 by the International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) forum, in collaboration with the International Association for Lung Cancer Studies (IASLC) and also the American College of Chest Physicians. IASLC is the largest organization in the world that is only related to lung cancer.
Lung cancer can be widely classified into two main types:
Lung Cancer -Small Cell Lung (SCLC)
Non-small lung cancer (NSCL
The most common symptoms of lung cancer:
Lung cancer causes pain in the chest and ribs.
The most common symptoms include cough that can be chronic, dry, with phlegm or blood.
This can cause fatigue and loss of appetite.
Lung cancer increases the risk of respiratory infection, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
Other common symptoms include weight loss, hoarseness, swollen lymph nodes, and weakness.
How to prevent lung cancer?
Quit smoking.
Avoid used smoking.
Maintain a healthy diet.
Exercise regularly.
Avoid all types of toxic chemical exposure.
