India added new coronavirus infections taking the total census of COVID-19 cases to which includes cases of Omicron variant, according to the Union Health Ministry data streamlined on Wednesday.
The active cases increased to, the loftiest in 211 days, while the death risk climbed to with 442 fresh losses, the data streamlined at 8 am stated.
Of the total cases of Omicron variant, have recovered or migrated so far.
Maharashtra recorded the maximum number of cases followed by Rajasthan at 645, Delhi 546, Karnataka 479 and Kerala 350.
The active cases comprise2.65 per cent of the total infections, while the public COVID-19 recovery rate dropped to96.01 per cent, the ministry said.
A total coronavirus infections were reported in a single day on May 26.
